When the time stood still
ACJ was a wonderful experience. Amid unlimited fun, crazy The Hindu parties and blaring Pakistani pop on Sunday nights is all that my college days were filled up with. Abruptly, one morning one wakes up with the CNN-IBN breaking a tragic news for the film freaks that Amitab Bachan has been hospitalized. The entire country, understandably, becomes transfixed. To my amazement, Indians, regardless of their religious affiliations, rushed to temples, mosques, churches and other places of worship to pray for immediate recovery of the iconic Bachan. It was the Indian way of paying homage to a film icon!
