I am attending American Copy Editors Society (ACES) 15th National Conference (March 17-19, 2011) at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. The conference began this morning at the First Amendment Forum on the second floor of the Cronkite School. Teresa Schmedding of Daily Herald, who is also the president of ACES, welcomed the participants of the three day event. During the first session, awards were given for best headlines. Some of these headlines were very amusing.
After the first session, there was the breakup round which provided all the participants a chance to opt for the lectures of their choice. So, I am going to attend the session about “Blogging for Beginners (on WordPress)” with Tony Zeoli of the University of North Carolina.
