Hurricane Irene

We are getting ready for Hurricane Irene. President Obama said “all indications point to this being a historic hurricane.”
They say it is going to be the worst hurricane hitting the east coast in the past one hundred years. .
Seven states, including Virginia, have declared a state of emergency. People are making initial preparations to deal with the situation. I was in the US last year in February when the worst blizzard of one hundred years struck.
I still do not have an idea how severe it would feel like. The first thing to do is to save a lot of food supplies, including water, as the cities will probably shut down. Power outages are very likely.
